V World Cocoa Summit

The 5th World Cocoa Summit was held at Guayaquil Convention Center from August, 30 to September 1, 2017. As other years, Guangala was present with a stand to assist producers on visitors about the Guangala Certified program. During this time, a new video was presented to producers on cocoa crop diseases and nutritional deficiencies. Also, Francisco Miranda, for a second straight year, was a speaker at the Summit’s technical congress and together with Jack Stain, Chair of ISO CEN Committee on Sustainable and Traceable Cocoa, presented the talk “ISO-CEN Cocoa Certification Alignment”. Jaime Zea, expert in post-harvest, offered a fermentation mini-workshop together with chocolate expert, Samuel Von Rutte.
