Zamorano University Intern from Nicaragua carries out professional practices in Guangala

Nathaly Sáenz (Matagalpa, Nicaragua), a student from Zamorano University in the field of Food Agroindustry, carried out her Internship period in Guangala S.A from January to April this year. During this time, Nathaly supported the Sustainability Department technical staff in farmer training, conducted practices in the quality laboratory and in food quality and security control.

“Nicaragua is a small scale cocoa producer with low technification. The opportunity to carry out this internship in Ecuador has been very gratifying and full of learning thanks to Guangala, where I’ve been allowed to learn about cocoa production directly with the farmers as well as a correct post-harvest management. With this enriching experience, I’ve been able to see the broad world of cocoa and how I can apply my knowledge in agroindustry in my professional future”
