Danish Plant Technologist Joins the Sustainability Department as a Trainee

Nicholine Franckaert (Odense, Denmark) is a plant technologist from  Lillebælt Academy in Denmark, carrying out a traineeship in good agricultural practices, post-harvest techniques and in cocoa sustainable production.  

Nicholine comments as follows, “For a very long time I’ve had the dream to work in the cocoa sector. When I finished my studies in Denmark I decided to follow my dream. I was fortunate to find Guangala, who was able to offer me a 6 month traineeship. The production of cocoa is a completely new world for me, so during this last 6 months in Guayaquil, I have learned a lot. Working with Guangala has given me the experience and knowledge to start a career in the cocoa field.”
